Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jonathan Liddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dreynos Elvul!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Jonathan Paton and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Elvul cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Elvul circles away from the clinch attempt.
Liddell looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
A countering left hand to the body from Elvul misses.
Liddell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Elvul's waist but Elvul gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Liddell off to one side.
A little jabbing left from Elvul on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Liddell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Liddell tries for a takedown but Elvul circles away easily
and Elvul counters with a big right hand! Oh Liddell is in trouble here! Elvul follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
