Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edd Norton (ranked 307 p4p, 459 weight class) and Larry Williams (ranked 51 p4p, 72 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams misses the body punch
and Norton makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Norton uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Williams.
Williams keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Norton throws a hook to the side of Williams's head but Williams sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

As Williams looks to move away, Norton throws a big counter combo but Williams just gets out of the way.
Williams has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Williams catches Norton with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Norton uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Williams.
Williams lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Norton seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
