Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Queef!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Gomez.
Queef uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gomez.
Queef fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gomez sprawls well initially but Queef persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gomez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Queef is working away from the top position though.
Gomez has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Queef seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Queef scores with a big shot! Gomez's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Gomez! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
