Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Simon Hedegaard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, George Fughead! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fughead misses with a few strikes there.
Hedegaard tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Fughead manages to circle out of the way. Hedegaard shoots in and bounces Fughead off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fughead wants to stand but Hedegaard is controlling the position. Hedegaard drops back looking for a leg! Fughead is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fughead manages to kick Hedegaard off! Hedegaard jumps back into Fughead's guard. Fughead is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hedegaard content to stall in guard here. Fughead is looking to stand up but Hedegaard isn't so interested in that idea. Hedegaard works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hedegaard stops Fughead from getting back to his feet.
Hedegaard is looking for a kimura but Fughead is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hedegaard to get the leverage. Fughead really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hedegaard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hedegaard is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fughead defends it well. Hedegaard is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Hedegaard is controlling the pace.
Fughead is looking to escape. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hedegaard wants to free his trapped foot but Fughead is holding on for dear life with his legs. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hedegaard lands a nice short elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fughead wants to get back to his feet. Hedegaard is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fughead is just riding it out for now. Hedegaard eventually gives up the hold. Hedegaard seems to be looking for submissions.

Hedegaard is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Fughead is trying to stand back up but Hedegaard is controlling him

Hedegaard looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Fughead is trying to stand.
Hedegaard seems to be looking for submissions.
Hedegaard controlling the action here. Hedegaard passes the guard and advances to mount! Hedegaard lands a big elbow. Hedegaard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
