Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Albert White (ranked 5409 p4p, 5461 weight class) and Avon Barksdale (ranked 98 p4p, 105 weight class). Avon Barksdale has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Albert White's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Albert White! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Avon Barksdale! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barksdale fails with a takedown attempt. White wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Barksdale doesn't manage to clinch there - White circles away.
White is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Barksdale. Barksdale doesn't succeed with the takedown and White moves into the clinch. Barksdale creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Barksdale tries to throw a body punch but White avoids it by throwing Barksdale back against the ropes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barksdale gets control of White's arms and successfully pulls guard. Barksdale will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Barksdale keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully. Barksdale has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but White has passed into side control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barksdale is trying to improve his position. White tries to advance to mount but Barksdale denies him. Barksdale parries the strikes from White easily there. White is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Barksdale to escape.
White will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. White misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Barksdale is trying to improve his position. Barksdale really doesn't want to stay on the ground with White. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Barksdale is trying to control White's posture but White avoids it. We've been hearing that White has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. White trying to control the action but Barksdale is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. White throwing shots but missing, from side control. Barksdale wants to control but White postures up. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. White scoring with punches and elbows. A lull in the action here. Barksdale dodges the ground and pound from White. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! White working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
And that's the end of the fight! Albert White showed his dominance in that final round. Well White has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
