This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 14 wins and 14 losses; Bjj Steel! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Steel looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Brown (0) vs (2) Steel Brown is looking for a sweep. Steel is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Brown has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Steel is working away from the top position though. Steel looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Brown is trying to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Steel looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brown is one step ahead there. Brown tries to free his leg and advance position but Steel is retaining full guard. Steel being controlled here, momentarily.
