The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Kerr fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mjölnir sprawls well initially but Kerr persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Kerr (2) vs (0) Mjölnir Mjölnir trying to hold on to Kerr's head to control him but Kerr postures up.

Kerr has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Score +3 for taking back: Kerr (8) vs (0) Mjölnir The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kerr is riding his opponent, not letting Mjölnir buck him off. Kerr is not going to allow Mjölnir to sit and survive in this position. A bit of a pause in the action here. Kerr controlling the positon.

That's eleven minutes gone in the round. If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Kerr is stinking the place up with his stalling. Mjölnir is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. This is a sustained period of stalling by Kerr. Mjölnir is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Kerr off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
