CWC 265 PBP Commentary |
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 12 wins and 11 losses; Raul Gracie! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Bo Nickal! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Gracie tries to keep at a distance but Nickal has taken the fight into the clinch. Gracie turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Gracie manages to end up in side control. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Gracie (4) vs (0) Nickal Gracie just content to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nickal is not content to let Gracie control the position. Nickal is trying to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Nickal is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nickal gets back to half guard.

Nickal preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Nickal is not content to let Gracie control the position. Gracie goes for a cartwheel guard pass here but Nickal does a handstand and catches Gracie in mid air with a triangle! Could it be? It is! It's the triple decker pecker wrecker! The fighters land on the ground with Nickal on top - Gracie is already out from the submission! Nickal gives Gracie's pecker the obligatory post submission twist and this one is aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall over! Are you kidding me! That is world class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. That guy is my hero!
