Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mental Warrior (ranked 636 p4p, 704 weight class) and Dude McWrestler (ranked 93 p4p, 103 weight class). Warrior comes to the cage accompanied by Side to Side. McWrestler has chosen Lil Baby - On Me as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Dude McWrestler told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mental Warrior! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dude McWrestler! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McWrestler throws a lazy right hand but Warrior sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Warrior misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McWrestler.
A left lands for McWrestler. Warrior misses with an uppercut. And an attempted straight right on the counter from McWrestler! But no joy. McWrestler throws a lazy uppercut
and Warrior counters with a lovely straight right hand! McWrestler fails with the takedown. Jab from McWrestler. McWrestler digs a good hook to Warrior's body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McWrestler uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Warrior. Warrior uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before McWrestler has time to react. The crowd cheers as McWrestler lands an impressive looking overhand right. Warrior doesn't seem phased though. McWrestler gets a double leg takedown into Warrior's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. McWrestler controls the pace of the fight for a moment. McWrestler throws a strike but Warrior rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Warrior sitting in guard here, content to control. McWrestler scores with a short punch from the bottom. McWrestler wants to sweep but no luck. Warrior has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. McWrestler working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. McWrestler gets a double leg takedown into Warrior's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McWrestler prevents Warrior from getting back to his feet. Warrior preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Warrior seems keen to control McWrestler's posture. McWrestler stopping the sweep attempt from Warrior. McWrestler loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Mental Warrior is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Warrior misses with a wild body shot. McWrestler looks to land a right hand but Warrior moved out of range. Warrior lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. A big right from Warrior misses. McWrestler lands a glancing blow to the side of Warrior's head. McWrestler walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. McWrestler fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Warrior manages to avoid it. Good standup being displayed there by McWrestler as he connects with a hook. Warrior misses with a body shot

That's four minutes gone in the round. Warrior waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract McWrestler. McWrestler throws out a counter right but Warrior avoids it with no problem. Warrior misses with a wild body shot. McWrestler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Warrior swats him away and circles back towards the center. McWrestler throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McWrestler moves out of range of the strikes. McWrestler blocks a jab. Warrior missing with a left hand there. McWrestler was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Warrior throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nice straight punches there by McWrestler. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of McWrestler. McWrestler misses with a looping left. Dude McWrestler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McWrestler moves into range and connects with a jab. Good shot there by Warrior. McWrestler drives through with a takedown into Warrior's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Warrior wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and McWrestler manages to pass to side control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dude McWrestler dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Warrior misses the shot to the body. McWrestler feints the counter takedown. McWrestler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. McWrestler with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Warrior to score with a decent uppercut. McWrestler scores with a takedown into Warrior's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McWrestler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. McWrestler trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. McWrestler postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Warrior is controlling McWrestler's posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McWrestler trying to control the position from guard on top but Warrior is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Warrior is looking to stand up but McWrestler isn't so interested in that idea.

and Warrior counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Warrior throws a body punch but McWrestler moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McWrestler doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Warrior counter with a right hand. McWrestler darts in trying to clinch and Warrior counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. McWrestler misses with an uppercut. Warrior saw that one coming. A jab lands there for Warrior. McWrestler rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Warrior counters with a lovely straight right hand! Nice defenses there by Warrior. A little feinted left hand from Warrior on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Warrior misses with a right hand and McWrestler counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. McWrestler throws a good cross that connects.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mental Warrior will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! McWrestler throws a right hand that misses

McWrestler seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Warrior does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Warrior is pressing down on McWrestler's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. McWrestler wants to control from the top but Warrior keeps moving. Warrior is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Warrior looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Warrior. McWrestler does a little dance to reset his feet. McWrestler getting the better of the striking in that exchange. McWrestler walks into a stiff left hand from Warrior. Warrior waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract McWrestler. McWrestler throws a hook but Warrior blocks it. McWrestler fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Warrior sprawls well initially but McWrestler persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Warrior tries to get to full guard but McWrestler has control of the leg. McWrestler tries to pass to full mount but Warrior defends it. Warrior works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells McWrestler's corner. There ya go! There ya go! McWrestler is working Warrior over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Warrior avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. McWrestler is stalling in the full guard. McWrestler scoring with some ground and pound. McWrestler trying to control but Warrior is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. McWrestler is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. McWrestler trying to control the position from guard on top but Warrior is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McWrestler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. McWrestler passes easily into side control. Nice work. Warrior is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but McWrestler has just dragged him back down to the mat. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Warrior wants to control but McWrestler postures up. Warrior is looking to reverse the position. Warrior on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! Dude McWrestler comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think McWrestler has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
