Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pete Tyler (ranked 3876 p4p, 23268 weight class) and Randy Tessin (ranked 447 p4p, 607 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Pete Tyler has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Pete Tyler seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Randy Tessin!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tessin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Randy Tessin has been cut.
Tyler rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Tessin counter with a right hand.
It looks like Pete Tyler has been cut.
Tyler throws a series of punches but Tessin moves out of range.
Tyler seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Tessin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Tyler ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Tyler tried to counter with a leg kick but Tessin avoided it.

and Tessin counters with a nice body shot.
Tessin has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Tessin uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Tessin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Tyler throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Tessin because Tyler loaded up on that one.
Tessin manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Tessin is trying is best to control the position here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tessin is looking for a sweep. Tyler is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Tessin makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Tyler is looking to slow Tessin down with leg kicks.
Tyler connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
That has opened up Randy Tessin's cut even more.
Tyler scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Tessin wants to clinch up but Tyler keeps it at a distance.
Tyler lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Tessin at a distance.
Tyler throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Tessin tumbling to the canvas!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Tyler dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Tyler's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Tessin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Tyler lands a nice leg kick that just misses Tessin's sensitive parts.

and Tessin counters with a stiff right hand.
Tyler throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tessin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Tessin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tyler.
Tessin now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tessin takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Tyler scores with a hook to the body. Tessin takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Tessin in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Tyler throws an overhand right that lands on Tessin's shoulder, as Tessin tries to avoid the shot.

Tessin throws out a loose jab but Tyler uses good head movement to avoid it.
Tyler fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tessin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Tessin looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
The cut above Randy Tessin's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Tyler feints and then cracks Tessin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tessin down.
Tyler throws a leg kick which misses Tessin's front leg but catches the back leg as Tessin tries to avoid it.
Tyler getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Tyler wants to slow Tessin down by chopping away at his legs.
Tessin might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Randy Tessin's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Tyler lands a glancing blow to the side of Tessin's head.
Tyler misses with a wild body shot.
Tyler cracks Tessin with an uppercut from hell and Tessin crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Tyler's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Randy Tessin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Pete Tyler!
After winning the bout, Pete Tyler thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
