Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kazuo Takashi (ranked 52 p4p, 3494 weight class) and Carlos Marcos (ranked 5 p4p, 0 weight class). Takashi comes to the cage accompanied by 吉田兄弟 Rising. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kazuo Takashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Carlos Marcos!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takashi doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Marcos moves into the clinch.
Takashi can't get the takedown.
Takashi is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Takashi is fighting off a takedown attempt but Marcos is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Takashi to the mat. Takashi regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Marcos controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marcos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Takashi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Marcos throws a body shot but no joy.
Takashi throws a jab but it's blocked by Marcos.
Marcos tries a quick counter leg kick but Takashi is wise to it.

Marcos tightens his grip and picks Takashi up, before dumping him to the ground. Takashi manages to land in guard.

Marcos sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Takashi's guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Marcos working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Marcos is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Takashi's coaches at Cozad The Island have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Marcos is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Marcos uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Takashi.

Takashi is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Marcos sees it coming and defends easily.
Marcos wants to sweep but Takashi has passed to side control!
Takashi tries to move to mount but Marcos blocks the move with his legs.
Carlos Marcos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Kazuo Takashi showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Takashi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
