The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

so Ponziabo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ponziabo looking to sit in guard and control but Bonon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Bonon slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bonon is posturing up here but Ponziabo has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Bonon tries to roll out but it's too tight and Bonon has to tap! Slick submission there by Ponziabo!
