Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diamond Hand (ranked 772 p4p, 2088 weight class) and Amaharo Xan (ranked 112 p4p, 273 weight class). Xan has chosen ARIGA TCHAN as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Diamond Hand has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Diamond Hand seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Diamond Hand! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Amaharo Xan! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hand moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Xan looks to land a right hand but Hand moved out of range. It looked like Hand wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Xan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hand sees it coming and avoids it easily. Xan connects with a crisp jab. Xan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A telegraphed right hand from Xan misses the target. Hand swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. The fighters circling - Xan throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Hand clinches with his opponent.
Xan misses with a short punch on the inside. Hand holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Xan prevents a body shot from Hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hand lands on the inside with an uppercut. Hand lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Xan is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hand is defending well. Hand stalling.

That's one minute gone in the round. Xan wants a takedown but no success here.
Hand makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Come on Hand - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Hand lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A short right from Hand on the inside. Xan working aggressively here.
Xan manages to break the clinch.
Xan doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hand counters with a stiff right hand. Diamond Hand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Amaharo Xan. The fighters circling - Xan throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Hand swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Xan tests Hand's chin there with a solid looking shot. Hand jabbing away but nothing is landing. Xan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Xan defending well as Hand loads up on a big left hand. A countering left hand to the body from Xan misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Xan throws a hook to the side of Hand's head but Hand sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Hand is looking to counter punch. Hand moves out of range as Xan strikes. Hand swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hand with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Xan to score with a decent uppercut. Xan takes a swing at Hand's ribcage but misses. Diamond Hand is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Xan takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Xan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hand looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Xan throws a right and a left that both miss. Xan connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hand's hands. Xan throws a lazy uppercut
and Hand counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Xan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Hand pushes Xan off and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Xan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hand has time to react. Xan scores with a body shot.
A swing and a miss from Xan. A big right from Xan misses. Xan dips to his left and cracks Hand with an uppercut! Xan misses with a hook. Xan lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hand at a distance.

and Xan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Xan throws a jab when Hand was well out of range. Hand avoids a punch combination nicely.
Xan is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hand had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Xan. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Xan throws a body punch but Hand moves out of range. Hand is looking to counter punch. Hand slips under a jab. Xan throws a poor cross that misses
and Hand counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Xan misses with a straight left. Hand swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Nice takedown defense from Hand. No joy for Xan on that attempt. A little feinted left hand from Hand on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Xan rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hand counters with a left to the body. Xan misses with a combination
and Hand counters with a right hand to the body. Hand ducks under a wild hook from Xan. The fighters circling - Xan throws out the jab but it was never going to land. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Diamond Hand will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Xan looks to land a combination. Hand sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Xan misses with a right hand and Hand counters with a stiff right hand. Hand uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Xan. Jab, jab by Xan - just one landing. Xan takes a shot right to the bread basket. Xan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hand sees it coming and avoids it easily. Hand appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Xan misses with a hook. Hand appears to be looking for a big counter. Xan misses with a looping right. Hand swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Xan throws an off balance right hand
and Hand counters with a lovely straight right hand! Xan throws a sloppy body shot
and Hand counters with a stiff right hand. Nice defenses there by Xan. This has been an exciting period of action! Hand looks to throw the jab but Xan is out of range.

Hand lands with a right hand. Xan throws a predictable looking body shot
enabling Hand to counter with a crisp jab. Xan might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Xan avoids a punch combination nicely.

Hand gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Xan. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Xan misses with a body punch
and Hand connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Xan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Xan fails with the takedown. Xan scores with a jab. Hand acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Xan takes a swing at Hand's ribcage but misses. Hand defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Xan. A little feinted left hand from Hand on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Amaharo Xan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Xan throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hand counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Excellent takedown into side control there by Xan. Xan fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Xan throwing shots but missing, from side control. Hand is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Xan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Xan throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Hand to regain full guard. Hand keeping moving, preventing Xan from controlling successfully. Xan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hand pulls Xan in close to prevent any damage. Xan is looking to work some ground and pound but Hand has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Xan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Xan's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Hand pulls Xan in close to prevent any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Xan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hand keeping moving, preventing Xan from controlling successfully. Xan looking to pass the guard. Hand looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Xan is fighting to break Hand's control of his arms but Hand is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Hand trying to control the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Amaharo Xan will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Xan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hand was well out of range. Poor timing from Xan. An attempted straight right counter from Hand misses the target. Xan throws a looping overhand right but Hand ducks down to avoid it. Amaharo Xan seems to be getting the better of the standup. Xan misses with a right hand and Hand counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Xan swings away with a body shot that misses
letting Hand counter with a right hand. Hand lands a big right hand that sends Xan crashing to the mat! Hand stays standing though and waves Xan back to his feet!
Xan is rocked! Xan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hand counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Diamond Hand! Our winner, Diamond Hand, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
