Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steven Adefemi (ranked 3310 p4p, 2694 weight class) and George Pierre (ranked 411 p4p, 355 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Steven Adefemi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, George Pierre!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adefemi slips under a jab.
Adefemi was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Adefemi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Adefemi misses with the combination.
Pierre has his takedown stuffed
and Adefemi counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like George Pierre has been cut.
Pierre has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Adefemi getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Pierre misses with a hook. Adefemi ducked under it nicely.
Adefemi scores with the left hand. Pierre knows he should have avoided that one.
Adefemi lands a big head kick that sends Pierre tumbling to the mat! Adefemi takes a step backwards and waves Pierre back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Pierre is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Adefemi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Pierre is still on wobbly legs! Can Adefemi finish him?
Pierre drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
That has opened up George Pierre's cut even more.
Pierre gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Adefemi gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Pierre is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steven Adefemi!
