Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Ritter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Ritter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Carter! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A left lands for Carter. Carter shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Ritter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ritter tries to get out of the position. Ritter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Carter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ritter swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ritter tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ritter throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Carter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ritter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Carter content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Ritter trying to strike off his back.
Carter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Carter slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Ritter. Carter is trying to control. Ritter wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Carter swats away the attempt to clinch by Ritter. Ritter doesn't manage to clinch there - Carter circles away.
Carter darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Carter blocks the strikes from Ritter.
Carter thows a huge punch but Ritter dodges it nicely.
Ritter wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Carter is keen to just control but Ritter is a slippery customer. Carter thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ritter's head. Ritter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Carter is working away from the top position though. Carter frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ritter really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ritter sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Carter stops Ritter from getting back to his feet.

Matt Carter dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Carter moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Carter works the jab nicely. Ritter misses with a takedown attempt and Carter counters with a three punch combo that has Ritter backing up. Ritter nods at Carter to acknowledge the strikes. Ritter has his takedown stuffed and Carter counters with a shoot takedown. Ritter fights it but they end up in guard. Carter postures up.
Ritter tries to land a sweep but no joy. Carter postures up and lands a big shot to Ritter's brow. Ritter keeping full guard, as Carter tries to pass. Carter preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter is looking to work some ground and pound but Ritter has wrist control. Ritter throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ritter on the wrong end of a nice jab. Carter lands with a right hand. Carter looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Ritter! Ritter regains half guard. Carter is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ritter regains full guard. Nicely done. Carter won't allow Ritter to sweep him here. Ritter is looking for a triangle but Carter pushes his legs off easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ritter lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Carter! Ritter lands a heavy elbow. Ritter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Carter takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Ritter dominating with strikes here. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ritter cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ritter working Carter over with strikes here. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ritter fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Carter wants to hold on but Ritter pushes him away. Ritter tries to control but Carter wriggling away. Ritter punishing his opponent with strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carter is in a horrible position here. Ritter smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Ritter postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Carter looks a forlorn figure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Ritter dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Carter takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Ritter with a poor takedown letting Carter counter with a right hand. Ritter shoots in but Carter avoids the takedown attempt easily. Ritter doesn't succeed with the takedown and Carter counters with a nice double leg into guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Ritter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ritter is looking for a triangle but Carter pushes his legs off easily.

Daniel Ritter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ritter striking from his own guard. Carter wants to control from the top but Ritter keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Carter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ritter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Ritter can't do much from the bottom here. Ritter is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Carter off and has taken his back! Ritter connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Carter to escape the position.
Ritter has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Carter. Ritter is landing with strikes from the back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oooh a big shot gets through from Ritter. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Carter covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Ritter is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Carter. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Ritter is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Ritter gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Ritter gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Ritter apologises and we restart here on the feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ritter tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Ritter slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Carter avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Ritter is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ritter thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Daniel Ritter showed his dominance in that final round. Well Ritter has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
