Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frodo Baggins (ranked 4485 p4p, 24784 weight class) and Conor McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGregor has chosen The Foggy Dew as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Baggins tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Baggins has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

McGregor is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

McGregor has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Baggins has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
McGregor wants to break the clinch but can't.
A left hand lands to the body for McGregor.
McGregor has had enough of the clinch but Baggins keeps him there for the moment.
McGregor is trying to break the clinch but Baggins is controlling him.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, McGregor creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Baggins turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Baggins manages to end up in side control.

McGregor sneaks out the side door and pushes Baggins away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

McGregor has taken the fight to the clinch.

McGregor has clasped his hands together around Baggins's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

McGregor stands up and beckons Baggins to his feet.

McGregor misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Baggins changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

McGregor closes the distance and pushes Baggins back into the cage.

McGregor decides to stand up, so the ref orders Baggins to his feet.

McGregor clinches.
McGregor wants to break free but Baggins has control.
McGregor wants to get back to striking at distance but Baggins won't allow it.
McGregor wants to break the clinch but can't.

Baggins has dropped down and is working for a takedown. McGregor is trying to keep an underhook but Baggins manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

McGregor has one foot on Baggins's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McGregor manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Frodo Baggins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Conor McGregor is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well McGregor has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Conor McGregor decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
