PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Mick Green (ranked 2892 p4p, 21528 weight class) and Peace Kim (ranked 360 p4p, 563 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mick Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peace Kim!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green misses with a hook to the body
and Green takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kim is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Green.

The fighters circling - Kim throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Green looks to land a left hand but Kim moved out of range nicely.

We've been informed that Kim has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Green, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In defeat, Peace Kim stepped up to the mic, saying 'I want to thank everybody for coming out, I apologize for not getting it done. I wanted to prove myself against another grappler after losing my first fight by submission and I've failed. Maybe I'll call it a career, maybe I'll continue to train. We'll see. Thank you everybody and thank you AKF!'.
