The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Den Born uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kowalski.
Van Den Born swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Kowalski throws a sloppy head kick and Van Den Born moves out of range easily.
Van Den Born fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
We've been informed that Van Den Born has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Kowalski connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Kowalski shoots in looking for a takedown but Van Den Born manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kowalski's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kowalski moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Kowalski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Van Den Born was well out of range. Poor timing from Kowalski.

BOOM! Van Den Born lands a beautiful left hook that drops Kowalski. Kowalski tries to recover but Van Den Born is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Kowalski lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
