Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gilmat Kirk (ranked 1500 p4p, 1884 weight class) and Anthon Van Der Dusse (ranked 155 p4p, 113 weight class). Kirk comes to the cage accompanied by Lords of Iron. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gilmat Kirk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anthon Van Der Dusse! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van Der Dusse closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Kirk tries to bench press Van Der Dusse off him but Van Der Dusse keeps the position. Van Der Dusse landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Van Der Dusse working the ground and pound from side control. Van Der Dusse trying to control the position but Kirk is working away. Kirk is trying to control Van Der Dusse's posture but Van Der Dusse avoids it. Van Der Dusse wants to control but Kirk is keeping him busy. Kirk is looking to reverse the position. Kirk wants to control but Van Der Dusse postures up. Kirk on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Kirk takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Van Der Dusse landing a few strikes. Van Der Dusse in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Kirk tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kirk is trying to control Van Der Dusse's posture but Van Der Dusse avoids it.

Kirk actively working from the bottom here. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Van Der Dusse connects with a nice short shot to Kirk's temple. Kirk's coaches at Irish Collar & Elbow Academy (ICE) have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Kirk is trying to control but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kirk looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kirk is looking to control Van Der Dusse's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kirk avoid being mounted? Van Der Dusse looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kirk with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Kirk is trying to control but can't.
Kirk is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Van Der Dusse is tapping! Great win for Kirk!
