Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bounty is looking to score with low kicks.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Menezes has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Bounty closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Bounty clinches up against the cage.
Menezes swings wildly with an uppercut but Bounty uses good head movement to avoid it.
Menezes is trying to pull guard but Bounty turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Bounty tries to stand but Menezes is controlling from the bottom.

Menezes looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Menezes looking for a guillotine here but Bounty defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bounty has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Menezes is proving hard to escape from.

Menezes is looking for a triangle but Bounty pushes his legs off easily.

Menezes is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bounty is aware though and is defending well.

Menezes has his foot on Bounty's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bounty works his way back into a safe position though.

Menezes looking for a guillotine here but Bounty defends easily.

Menezes has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bounty is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Menezes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bounty has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Menezes.

Bounty is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Menezes has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Bounty has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Menezes has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Bounty! Can he survive? No! He's out! Menezes gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
