PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lord Mammon (ranked 1912 p4p, 4140 weight class) and Jack Falcon (ranked 265 p4p, 490 weight class). Falcon has chosen O Retrô Ativo - Heróis do Status Quo as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Falcon!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mammon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Falcon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Falcon tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mammon swivels and escapes.
Mammon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A nice side step and Falcon releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Falcon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mammon's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Falcon takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Falcon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mammon tries to avoid it but Falcon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mammon to the ground. Mammon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lord Mammon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Falcon.
Falcon looks to throw a body kick
and Mammon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A nice combination there by Falcon.
Mammon displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Falcon throws out the jab.

Falcon closes the distance and clinches up with Mammon, looking for a takedown. Falcon pushes Mammon against the cage but Mammon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Mammon tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Falcon manages to circle out of the way.
Lord Mammon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Falcon throws a leg kick that is checked
enabling Mammon to counter with a crisp jab.
Falcon shoots in looking for a takedown. Mammon tries to sprawl out of it but Falcon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mammon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Falcon swings widly with a right hand

Falcon is rocked!

Mammon darts in and clinches Falcon up against the cage.

Falcon has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mammon is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Falcon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mammon lands a jab.

Mammon has closed the distance and engaged Falcon in a clinch.

Mammon dips a shoulder and cracks Falcon with a mighty uppercut! Falcon falls back against the cage and Mammon unloads with a barrage of strikes! Falcon is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Mammon screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lord Mammon!
During a confident post fight interview, Lord Mammon thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
