Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vicente Escalante (ranked 114 p4p, 377 weight class) and Balthazar Baker (ranked 15 p4p, 50 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vicente Escalante!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Balthazar Baker!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escalante throws a shot to the body.
Baker dips to his left and cracks Escalante with an uppercut!
Escalante plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Balthazar Baker has been cut.
Baker is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Vicente Escalante seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Escalante throws the left hand but Baker avoids the punch easily.
Baker changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
The fighters circle momentarily. Baker darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Baker checks a leg kick.

Escalante thuds his right hand into Baker's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Baker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Escalante has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Brooklyn Mixed Martial Arts in the buildup to the fight.
Escalante is looking to score with low kicks.

Baker throws a shot to the body.
Baker bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Escalante lands a nice hook to Baker's body. Baker takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
A solid leg kick lands there for Escalante.
Baker scores with a crisp jab that stopped Escalante in his tracks.
Baker takes a swing at Escalante's ribcage but misses.
A punch lands to the side of Baker 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Baker is rocked!
Escalante lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Baker is still on wobbly legs! Can Escalante finish him?
Baker is aggressively charging in as Escalante backs up avoiding any damage. Escalante tosses out a jab and Baker runs right into it face first! Baker is out cold! Escalante dropped down on all fours and is barking in Baker's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
