Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Andrade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Vladimir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrade comes into the arena with sandstorm blaring out of the sound system. Vladimir is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Mukeka Di Rato - Cachaça. The key to victory for Daniel Andrade has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrade tries for a takedown but Vladimir sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Vladimir shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Andrade is trying to escape the mount.
Vladimir jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Andrade is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Andrade and Vladimir has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Vladimir tries for a kimura but Andrade is defending well.
Vladimir looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Andrade regains half guard.
Vladimir looking for a submission but Andrade manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Andrade working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vladimir doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vladimir manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Vladimir drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Andrade manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vladimir has Andrade in his guard.

Andrade drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Andrade jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Vladimir throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Andrade escapes and throws Vladimir's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Andrade has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vladimir can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Vladimir postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Andrade is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Vladimir, into his guard.

Andrade would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Vladimir escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Andrade gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Vladimir is looking for a triangle but Andrade pushes his legs off easily.

Vladimir is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Andrade pulls his head out easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Daniel Andrade will probably get the nod.

Vladimir is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
