Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Demarcus Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daniel Barbosa!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws a series of punches but Barbosa avoids them all with ease.
Barbosa throws a counter combo.
Barbosa instigates a clinch.
A short uppercut from Jackson.
Barbosa fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jackson is trying to break free.
Barbosa blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Barbosa ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Barbosa no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Our spies down at at New York Public Gym inform us that Barbosa has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Barbosa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jackson is aware though and is defending well.
Barbosa has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Jackson should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Barbosa has tightened it up now! Jackson should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
