Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seppo Sepi (ranked 435 p4p, 277 weight class) and David Jones (ranked 5 p4p, 11 weight class). David Jones has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Seppo Sepi's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Seppo Sepi!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Jones!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sepi moves out of range as Jones strikes.
Jones lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sepi at a distance.
Jones fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Sepi misses with a two punch combination.
Sepi closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Sepi pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jones drops Sepi with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sepi looks back up at him and smiles so Jones waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Seppo Sepi has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sepi throws a series of strikes that have Jones backpedaling.
Sepi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sepi appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Jones keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jones throws a leg kick but Sepi sees it coming and moves out of range.
Sepi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Jones throws a lazy right hand but Sepi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sepi avoids the body shot from Jones.
Jones misses with a body shot.
Jones buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Sepi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Sepi persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
Jones swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
An inside leg kick from Sepi misses.
Sepi misses with a double jab
and Jones counters with a leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sepi has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jones.
Sepi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sepi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Sepi tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Sepi regains half guard.
Sepi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sepi moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Sepi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jones is aware though and is defending well.
Jones told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Sepi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jones is looking to stand up but Sepi won't let him.

Jones stands up from Sepi's guard - Jones perhaps looking for a knockout.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A big left from Jones misses.
Sepi feinted with a counter takedown.
Jones misses with a looping left.
Sepi shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seppo Sepi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sepi fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jones to the ground. Sepi is now in Jones's guard.
Jones wants to stand and escape but Sepi is having none of it.

Sepi drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jones dives on top into guard.

Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sepi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sepi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jones would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Jones gets to his feet. Sepi looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Jones tries to sprawl but Sepi drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Jones manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Sepi keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

David Jones dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Seppo Sepi's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

David Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Jones looks to throw the jab but Sepi is out of range.

Jones has managed to clinch.
Jones is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Jones lands a nice shot to the body.
Jones lands a body punch.
Jones is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Sepi gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Jones makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
This has been an exciting period of action!
No luck for Sepi with that takedown attempt.
Jones with a hook.
Jones throws a leg kick but Sepi moved away.
Sepi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.
Jones lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sepi's sensitive parts.
Jones throws a series of punches but Sepi moves out of range.
Sepi half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sepi shoots in looking for a takedown but Jones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sepi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seppo Sepi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sepi moves out of range of the strikes.
Sepi feinted with a counter takedown.
Sepi throws a left and a right that both miss
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sepi was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones.

Sepi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Jones kicks off Sepi and gets to his feet.
Seppo Sepi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jones lands an overhand right.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones lands a right hook to the body.
Jones drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Sepi right on the button. Sepi goes down! Jones follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Jones gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Jones!
David Jones is the new super heavyweight champion!
Jumping up and down and very excited, David Jones waved his t-shirt featuring PWNAGE™'s logo in front of the cameras.
