Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Corbin Leopold (ranked 893 p4p, 352 weight class) and Lorenzo Benedetti (ranked 99 p4p, 48 weight class). Benedetti has chosen Gloom, Doom, Heartache & Whiskey - Viking Skull as his entrance music. Lorenzo Benedetti has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 15 - 4 - 3, fighting out of Sydney, Lorenzo Benedetti!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leopold swings for the body but Benedetti moves out of range.

and Benedetti makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Benedetti looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Benedetti has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

We've been told by Leopold's head coaches at Special Ops N7 Training that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Leopold rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Benedetti moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Benedetti now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Benedetti throws a nice outside leg kick.
Leopold takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Leopold throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Benedetti counters with a head kick. That will keep Leopold thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Leopold is rocked!
A looping hook to the body misses from Leopold. Benedetti does a little dance to reset his feet.
Oh Leopold is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Benedetti lunges at Leopold with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Leopold's hand.
Benedetti cracks Leopold with an open hand slap.
Benedetti drops Leopold with a huge uppercut! Leopold drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Benedetti is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lorenzo Benedetti!
