Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Drapton Heed (ranked 2384 p4p, 3918 weight class) and Jackmerius Tacktheritrix (ranked 298 p4p, 453 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tacktheritrix uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Heed.
Good standup being displayed there by Tacktheritrix as he connects with a hook.

Tacktheritrix connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Heed momentarily.

Tacktheritrix connects with a good right hand that stumbles Heed. Heed circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tacktheritrix is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Heed looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

The crowd cheers as Tacktheritrix lands an impressive looking overhand right. Heed doesn't seem phased though.

It seemed like Tacktheritrix was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Heed seems to have got his legs back now.

Tacktheritrix works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Heed on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Heed throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Tacktheritrix swings for the body but Heed moves out of range.

Tacktheritrix drops Heed with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Heed looks back up at him and smiles so Tacktheritrix waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Drapton Heed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tacktheritrix lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Heed up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Tacktheritrix from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Heed's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
