Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Efraim Turban (ranked 1261 p4p, 2817 weight class) and Clay Hayden (ranked 169 p4p, 320 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Turban might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Nadav Guedj - Golden Boy . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hayden closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Turban quickly recovers to half guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Hayden working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Turban wants to get back to full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Hayden takes a swing at Turban's ribcage but misses.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Turban lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hayden has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hayden and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That kick from Turban tenderised Hayden's leg. Hayden is trying to keep his angry face on.
Hayden walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Turban checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Turban throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Turban connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Turban lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Hayden ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Turban moves away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Turban clobbers Hayden with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Turban loads up on a big right hand but Hayden slips the punch.

Turban appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Efraim Turban will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Turban fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Hayden square on the jaw! Damn, Hayden is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
