Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Travis Scotty (ranked 722 p4p, 545 weight class) and Balthazar Baker (ranked 109 p4p, 80 weight class). Balthazar Baker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Travis Scotty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Balthazar Baker!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scotty lands a nice looking body shot.
Scotty looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Baker swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Scotty rushes Baker and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Baker has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Scotty clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Baker is punishing Scotty with some ground and pound.

Baker has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Scotty has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Baker is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Scotty has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Baker controls the action.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Baker throws strikes from the back but Scotty rolls nicely and manages to end up in full guard. Nice work by Scotty.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Baker working his ground and pound in the gym.

Baker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Baker's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Baker wants to pass the guard but Scotty is keeping the position.
Scotty is controlling Baker's posture.

Scotty wants to improve his position but instead Baker has moved into half guard.
Baker sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Scotty defending well though.
Baker throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Baker is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Baker's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Baker has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Baker prevents Scotty from getting the reversal.
Baker putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Baker misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Baker connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Baker dominating with strikes here.
Baker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Baker thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Scotty tries to hold on but Baker postures up.
Scotty swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Baker postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Scotty looks a forlorn figure.
Scotty might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Baker tries to control but Scotty wriggling away.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Baker cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Baker lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Baker throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Baker tries to control but Scotty wriggling away.
Scotty blocking the ground and pound.
Scotty really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Balthazar Baker dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Baker with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Baker swats away the attempt to clinch by Scotty.
Travis Scotty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scotty takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Scotty is rocked!
Scotty tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Baker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
and Baker counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Scotty! He's just covering up as Baker starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Balthazar Baker!
