Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Asakura (ranked 1523 p4p, 3911 weight class) and Joe Higgins (ranked 205 p4p, 456 weight class). Asakura comes to the cage accompanied by JJBA - Giorno's Theme. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joe Higgins!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Summer Carpenter and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Higgins.
It looks like Tyson Asakura has been cut.
Higgins takes one to the side of the head.

Higgins moves away from the strike by Asakura.
Higgins throws out a counter right but Asakura avoids it with no problem.
Asakura looks to throw the jab but Higgins is out of range.
Higgins throws a series of punches but Asakura moves out of range.

Asakura has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Black Swans in the buildup to the fight.
Higgins throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Asakura counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Asakura lands a right hook to the body.
Higgins throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Asakura sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Asakura avoids a punch combination nicely.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Asakura throws out a powerful jab.
Higgins swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Asakura connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Asakura throws the left hand but Higgins avoids the punch easily.

and Asakura counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Asakura bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Asakura was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Higgins throws a series of punches but Asakura moves out of range.
Higgins misses with a double jab
and Asakura cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Asakura misses with an uppercut. Higgins saw that one coming.
Higgins scores with the left hand. Asakura knows he should have avoided that one.
A telegraphed right hand from Higgins misses the target.
Asakura throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Higgins lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Asakura backs up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Higgins takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Higgins is rocked!
Asakura fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Higgins square on the jaw! Damn, Higgins is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
