And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dragon Li Chai!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackburn throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
And Chai tries to counter it with a takedown but Blackburn pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Blackburn stuffs the takedown.
Blackburn ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Blackburn loads up on a big right hand but Chai slips the punch.
Chai feints the counter takedown.
Chai takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Chai uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Blackburn.
We've been informed that Chai has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Blackburn tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chai was well out of range. Poor timing from Blackburn.
We've been told by Blackburn's head coaches at NY Savages that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Blackburn swings for the body but Chai moves out of range.
Chai shoots in but no luck this time.
Blackburn drops down looking for a counter takedown but Chai sprawls and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blackburn fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Chai, pushing him back against the cage.
Blackburn swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Chai tries for a takedown. No joy.
Emiliano Blackburn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dragon Li Chai.
Chai wants to take the fight to the mat but Blackburn manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Blackburn misses with a hook from the clinch.
Chai drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Blackburn gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Chai goes for a takedown attempt but Blackburn pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Chai fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Blackburn looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Chai tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Chai changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Blackburn tries to avoid it but Chai manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Blackburn to the ground. Blackburn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Blackburn stuffs the takedown attempt from Chai. Chai gets slowly back to his feet.
Chai doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Blackburn is looking to wear down Chai with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Chai has a takedown stuffed.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Blackburn has Chai up against the cage in a clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Blackburn.
Blackburn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Emiliano Blackburn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blackburn slaps away a takedown attempt from Chai, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Chai takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Blackburn connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Chai momentarily.
Chai shoots in but Blackburn avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Chai fails to land the takedown.

Blackburn smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Blackburn moves into range and connects with a jab.
Chai is rocked!
Blackburn circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Chai tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Blackburn wins by KO!
