Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robert Leahy (ranked 3995 p4p, 3492 weight class) and Ezekiel Hall (ranked 496 p4p, 449 weight class). Hall has chosen Ready for War- 50 Cent as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Leahy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Ezekiel Hall!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Hall.
Leahy feinted with a counter takedown.
Leahy misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hall throws a head kick that misses.

Leahy looking to score a takedown here. Hall is defending well but Leahy drives through and ends up in Hall's guard.

Leahy has gone for a leg lock! Hall slips out almost immediately though and dives into Leahy's guard.


Leahy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hall doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hall manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Leahy pulls Hall in close to prevent any damage.
Hall content to stall in guard here.
Hall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Leahy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Leahy is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Hall wants to stand but Leahy is controlling his posture from full guard.
Leahy is trying to control the position but Hall postures up.

Leahy throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Hall avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Hall stands up from Leahy's guard - Hall perhaps looking for a knockout.

Hall darts in and clinches Leahy up against the cage.
Hall lands a nice uppercut.
Leahy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hall walks away with a smile on his face. Leahy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Hall clinches with his opponent.
Leahy is looking to take this one to the mat.

Hall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hall rushes Leahy and presses him up against the cage.

Hall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Leahy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hall sprawls well. Hall wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Leahy gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Leahy. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hall moves into the clinch.

Hall breaks from the clinch.
Ezekiel Hall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Leahy misses with a takedown
and Hall counters with a straight right hand.
Hall throws a leg kick but Leahy sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Hall is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A right-left combo lands from Hall.

It looks like Robert Leahy has been cut.

Hall moves into the clinch.
Hall lands a hook that snaps the head of Leahy backwards.
Hall digs a right hand underneath Leahy's ribcage. Leahy let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Leahy has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hall after a bit of a struggle.
Hall lands an uppercut.
Leahy is looking for a takedown.
Leahy is trying to pull guard but Hall has him pressed against the cage.
Our sources have told us that Leahy has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Leahy is trying to drag Hall to the mat but Hall just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Leahy manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Leahy keeping moving, preventing Hall from controlling successfully.
Leahy is trying to control the position but Hall postures up.

Hall got a little sloppy there for a moment and Leahy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hall has managed to get both his arms back between Leahy's legs - danger averted.
Leahy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hall's guard.

Hall wants to stand up but Leahy is controlling him.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ezekiel Hall dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Robert Leahy's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Hall closes the distance and pushes Leahy back into the cage.

Hall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Leahy fails with a takedown attempt.
Despite the aggression on Hall's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Robert Leahy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Leahy takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Leahy shoots for a takedown but Hall saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hall misses with a two punch combination.
Hall misses with a jab, cross combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hall throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Leahy fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hall sprawls well initially but Leahy persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hall pushes Leahy off and gets back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hall tries a head kick but it misses.

Leahy looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hall!

Leahy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hall is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Leahy prevents Hall from escaping the position.

Hall is trying to stand and escape here. He's got onto all fours but that's just let Leahy take his back! Uh oh - Leahy has got a rear naked choke here! Hall is forced to tap! It's all over! One monent is all it takes in this sport!
