Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alessio Da Santiago (ranked 2435 p4p, 1920 weight class) and Joro Paveto (ranked 312 p4p, 119 weight class). Paveto has chosen Imperial March as his entrance music. Alessio Da Santiago has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alessio Da Santiago!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joro Paveto!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Da Santiago wants to take the fight to the mat but Paveto manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Paveto told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

Paveto lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Paveto fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

A nice side step and Paveto releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Paveto dodges the punch combination from Da Santiago.

Da Santiago shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Paveto as he jumps to the side.

BOOM! Paveto lands a beautiful left hook that drops Da Santiago. Da Santiago tries to recover but Paveto is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Da Santiago lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

After the fight, Joro Paveto was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
