Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Barbosa (ranked 191 p4p, 1292 weight class) and Jose Galvao (ranked 20 p4p, 192 weight class). Galvao has chosen Ye - Burna Boy as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lucas Barbosa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jose Galvao!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbosa lands a nice looking body shot.
Galvao swings for the body but Barbosa moves out of range.
Barbosa misses with a wild combination.
Barbosa seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
A swing and a miss from Barbosa.
Galvao avoids a punch combination nicely.
Galvao lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Galvao gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Barbosa swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Galvao tries to counter with a clinch but Barbosa shakes him off and moves away.
Galvao uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Barbosa.
Barbosa takes a swing at Galvao's ribcage but misses.

Galvao uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Barbosa.
Barbosa fails to land with a series of punches.
Barbosa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Galvao manages to avoid it.
Barbosa throws a lazy right hand but Galvao sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Galvao tries to clinch up
and Barbosa counters with a single leg into guard. Galvao didn't expect that.
Galvao has his foot on Barbosa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Barbosa works his way back into a safe position though.
Barbosa has gone for a leg lock! Galvao slips out almost immediately though and dives into Barbosa's guard.

Barbosa is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Galvao defends well.

Galvao not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Barbosa controls Galvao momentarily but Galvao frees himself.
Galvao won't allow Barbosa to sweep him here.
Barbosa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Galvao gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Barbosa pulls Galvao in close to prevent any damage.
Galvao throws a big elbow that misses.

Barbosa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Galvao postures up in Barbosa's guard and throws a big left but Barbosa blocks it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Barbosa is looking for a triangle but Galvao pushes his legs off easily.
Galvao loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Barbosa bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Galvao's guard.
Galvao tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Barbosa sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Galvao doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Barbosa paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Galvao - great work!
