Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maxx Oliveira (ranked 5460 p4p, 3083 weight class) and Wallace Everett (ranked 505 p4p, 384 weight class). Maxx Oliveira looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wallace Everett!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Oliveira looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Everett takes the fight into the clinch.
Oliveira successfully pulls guard.
Oliveira trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Oliveira looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Everett has picked Oliveira up and slammed him! Oliveira can't keep hold of the triangle and Everett manages to pass to side control!
Everett decides to stand up, so the ref orders Oliveira to his feet.
Everett shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Oliveira is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Everett stands up from Oliveira 's guard - Everett perhaps looking for a knockout.

Everett is controlling the pace.

Everett wants to work for an arm triangle but Oliveira is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Everett is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Oliveira sees it coming and defends easily.
Oliveira is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Hotrod Express MMA Training, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Everett decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Everett fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Oliveira to the ground. Everett is now in Oliveira 's guard.
Everett slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Everett stuffs the takedown.
And Everett responds with a good body kick, but Oliveira manages to step out the way in time.
Everett throws a head kick but Oliveira moves out of range.

Everett tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Everett has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Everett is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Oliveira 's shoulder. That is not cool.
Oliveira is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Everett's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Everett! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Oliveira has tapped! This one is allllll over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Wallace Everett!
