Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Snakovic (ranked 3327 p4p, 2063 weight class) and Kambei Shimada (ranked 414 p4p, 285 weight class). Shimada comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Seven Samurai kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Kambei Shimada has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Andrei Snakovic's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrei Snakovic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kambei Shimada! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Darius Henderson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snakovic shoots and misses and Shimada connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Shimada stuffs the takedown attempt from Snakovic. Snakovic gets slowly back to his feet. Shimada cracks Snakovic with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Shimada gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Snakovic thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Snakovic loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Snakovic working some strikes from top position. Snakovic drops back looking for a leg! Shimada is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Shimada manages to kick Snakovic off! Snakovic jumps back into Shimada's guard. Snakovic is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Snakovic might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Snakovic won't allow Shimada to sweep him here. Snakovic landing some decent shots from guard. Shimada keeping moving, preventing Snakovic from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Snakovic pushing down on Shimada's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Snakovic thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Snakovic throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shimada can do anything to dispel that myth. Snakovic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shimada keeps working. Snakovic is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Snakovic not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snakovic is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Snakovic shoots in but Shimada avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrei Snakovic. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shimada thuds his right hand into Snakovic's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Snakovic will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Snakovic fails with the takedown and Shimada counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Shimada scores with a jab. Snakovic acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Snakovic throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Snakovic darts in looking for a takedown but Shimada gets double underhooks and turns Snakovic into the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shimada gets through Snakovic's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Shimada scores with an uppercut up the middle. Shimada is pushing Snakovic up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Shimada breaks the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Snakovic gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Shimada counters with a stiff right hand. Shimada digs a good body shot into Snakovic's ribs. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kambei Shimada dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Snakovic shoots and misses and Shimada counters with a straight right hand. Snakovic doesn't succeed with the takedown and Shimada counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Shimada connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Snakovic momentarily.
Snakovic misses with a takedown attempt - Shimada sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrei Snakovic. That's going to take a lot out of him. Snakovic shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Shimada defends it nicely. Shimada throws a counter combo. Snakovic moves forwards but Shimada connects with a nice, crisp jab. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shimada dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Snakovic seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. A left lands for Shimada. Shimada has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snakovic with a lazy takedown attempt letting Shimada counter with a right hand.
Snakovic is rocked! Shimada circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Snakovic to the canvas! Snakovic doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Shimada keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kambei Shimada! Kambei Shimada got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
