Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack McGregson (ranked 3969 p4p, 23911 weight class) and Michail Rasnov (ranked 462 p4p, 612 weight class). Jack McGregson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack McGregson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michail Rasnov! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGregson shoots in and bounces Rasnov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. McGregson postures up.
McGregson stops Rasnov from standing up. Rasnov is striking from the bottom but McGregson uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Rasnov holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. McGregson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rasnov keeps working. McGregson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. McGregson scores with a couple of good hammerfists. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rasnov is looking for a sweep. McGregson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. McGregson is looking for a kimura here.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGregson is working for a kimura but Rasnov is defending it quite comfortably.
We've been hearing that McGregson has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. McGregson trying to control from Rasnov's half guard. Rasnov has other ideas though and has regained full guard. McGregson working some strikes from top position. McGregson connects with a couple of short punches. McGregson wants to control from the top but Rasnov keeps moving. McGregson postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. McGregson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McGregson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. McGregson postures up.
McGregson passes Rasnov's left leg - he's now in half guard. Rasnov is looking for a sweep. McGregson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Rasnov trying to control but McGregson postures up.
McGregson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
McGregson is looking for a kimura but Rasnov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for McGregson to get the leverage. Rasnov trying to hold on to McGregson's head to control him but McGregson postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGregson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. McGregson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Rasnov! McGregson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. McGregson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Rasnov really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
McGregson with the ground and pound from mount. McGregson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rasnov is squirming around, avoiding McGregson's attempts to control the action. McGregson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Rasnov has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Rasnov!

Rasnov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McGregson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. McGregson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Rasnov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. McGregson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rasnov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rasnov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rasnov postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McGregson has his foot on Rasnov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rasnov works his way back into a safe position though. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jack McGregson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
McGregson pushes Rasnov up against the cage in a clinch. McGregson gets control of Rasnov's arms and successfully pulls guard. McGregson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. McGregson working for a triangle but Rasnov defends it easily.

McGregson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. McGregson has an active guard here but Rasnov has managed to pass into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. McGregson wants to get back to his feet.
McGregson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. McGregson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rasnov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rasnov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
McGregson looking for subs off his back but Rasnov has passed one foot through into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGregson is not content to let Rasnov control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rasnov throws a strike but McGregson avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Rasnov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. McGregson is looking for a triangle but Rasnov pushes his legs off easily.
McGregson has a closed guard, preventing Rasnov from standing up. Rasnov is fighting to break McGregson's control of his arms but McGregson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. McGregson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rasnov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jack McGregson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. McGregson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. McGregson has his feet on Rasnov's thighs here. He's pushed Rasnov off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Rasnov screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
