Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rav Kapur (ranked 615 p4p, 355 weight class) and Balin Trollslayer (ranked 90 p4p, 50 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rav Kapur!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Balin Trollslayer!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kapur shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Trollslayer as he jumps to the side.
Kapur dives in for a single leg takedown but Trollslayer sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Trollslayer has Kapur pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Trollslayer pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kapur tumbling to the mat - Trollslayer dives into Kapur's guard.
Kapur really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kapur is adopting a defensive guard.
Trollslayer is working Kapur over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kapur will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
You can see the frustration on Kapur's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kapur is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Trollslayer is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Kapur on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Trollslayer is looking to take a break and control but Kapur is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Trollslayer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kapur does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Trollslayer is taking a breather. Kapur says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Kapur makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kapur.

Kapur is trying to stick to Trollslayer's back but Trollslayer is turning into Kapur. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kapur's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Trollslayer.

Kapur had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Trollslayer defends it easily.
Kapur is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kapur is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Kapur is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Trollslayer is just riding it out for now. Kapur eventually gives up the hold.
Trollslayer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Trollslayer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kapur drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Trollslayer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kapur has Trollslayer in his guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Trollslayer is looking to work some ground and pound but Kapur has wrist control.
Trollslayer distracts Kapur with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kapur is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Trollslayer defends well.

Balin Trollslayer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Trollslayer avoids the attempt from Kapur to control.
Trollslayer pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

It looks like Rav Kapur has been cut.
Kapur is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Trollslayer looking to control and managing it successfully.

Balin Trollslayer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Trollslayer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
