Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marko Kerr (ranked 587 p4p, 763 weight class) and Jorlan Vieira (ranked 87 p4p, 103 weight class). Jorlan Vieira has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marko Kerr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jorlan Vieira!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerr slips a jab from Vieira.
Vieira slips a straight right by Kerr.
Kerr closes the distance and clinches up with Vieira, looking for a takedown. Kerr pushes Vieira against the cage but Vieira circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kerr looks for a takedown but Vieira sprawls well.
The crowd cheers as Kerr lands an impressive looking overhand right. Vieira doesn't seem phased though.
Vieira ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Vieira looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Vieira throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kerr fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marko Kerr. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vieira throws the left hand but Kerr avoids the punch easily.

Kerr shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kerr showed some decent athleticism there.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Vieira looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Vieira looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kerr is taking a breather. Vieira says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Kerr seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Vieira for as long as he can get away with.

Kerr perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Kerr has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kerr winds up and cracks Vieira with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Vieira wants to improve his position but Kerr is controlling well.
Vieira looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kerr wants to pass to mount but Vieira is defending the position.

Kerr is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vieira can do anything to dispel that myth.
Vieira looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kerr working over Vieira with some ground and pound. Vieira looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Kerr slips a nice elbow through Vieira's hands, connecting with Vieira's forehead.
Vieira is trying to get back to full guard.
Kerr seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Kerr seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Vieira on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kerr seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Vieira wants to control but Kerr is keeping busy.
Kerr seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vieira does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vieira makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Vieira.
Kerr lands a couple of digs.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kerr's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Kerr lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Kerr chips away with some ground and pound.
Vieira is looking to sweep but instead, Kerr has passed into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kerr lands a nice short elbow.
Kerr creates some space for himself and unloads with a monster right hand! That one landed with a sickening thud - Vieira is out cold and this one is all over! Kerr climbs onto the cage to celebrate with his corner!! He's shouting something into the camera but he's still got his mouthpiece in so God knows what he's actually saying.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Marko Kerr!
