Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Corey McGraugh (ranked 2444 p4p, 3611 weight class) and Jason Stillwell (ranked 312 p4p, 433 weight class). Stillwell has chosen Burning Heart as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Corey McGraugh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Stillwell!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGraugh throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
McGraugh swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Stillwell is trying hard to land a takedown here. McGraugh sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
McGraugh misses the jab.
And Stillwell tries to counter it with a takedown but McGraugh pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Stillwell closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stillwell lands in his opponent's guard.
McGraugh is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stillwell connects with a couple of short punches.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Stillwell's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
McGraugh wants to control the position but Stillwell says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stillwell prevents McGraugh from improving his position.

McGraugh is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stillwell pulls his head out easily.
Stillwell takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Stillwell feints and as McGraugh raises his hands in defense, Stillwell changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Stillwell postures up and lands a big shot to McGraugh's brow.
McGraugh preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

McGraugh has his foot on Stillwell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stillwell works his way back into a safe position though.

Stillwell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McGraugh doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McGraugh manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Our spies down at at Old School Training inform us that Stillwell has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

McGraugh got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stillwell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McGraugh has managed to get both his arms back between Stillwell's legs - danger averted.
Stillwell lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


McGraugh is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Stillwell rolls with it to try and escape but McGraugh cranks on the arm and Stillwell is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Corey McGraugh!
A very excited looking Corey McGraugh rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
