The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blade takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
McGuire turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Blade looks to score with a jab to the body but McGuire is just out of range.
McGuire misses with a looping left.
Blade feints the counter takedown.
McGuire connects with an inside leg kick.
McGuire throws a jab but it's blocked by Blade.
McGuire looks to throw the jab but Blade is out of range.
Blade swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
McGuire lands with an uppercut that bounces Blade off the cage and back into range.
McGuire digs a good hook to Blade's body.
Blade shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and McGuire counters with a good low kick that Blade was not able to check.
McGuire throws a series of punches but Blade moves out of range.
McGuire dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McGuire thumps Blade with a low kick.
Blade dodges the punch combination from McGuire.
McGuire slips under a jab from Blade.
Lathem McGuire is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Blade fails with the takedown
and McGuire counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
McGuire scoring well with a low kick there.
McGuire slaps away a takedown attempt from Blade, before circling back to the center of the mat.
McGuire looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Lathem McGuire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Blade.

McGuire cracks Blade with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Blade falls to his knees and McGuire doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
