The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cruz Jr.
Knox let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Knox swings widly with a right hand
and Cruz Jr counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Yardbird Knox has been cut.
Knox misses with a hook. Cruz Jr ducked under it nicely.
Cruz Jr throws a big counter combination but Knox scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Cruz Jr was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Knox lands with a good body shot.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Cruz Jr counters with a nice right hand that sends Knox toppling to the canvas! Knox scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Cruz Jr finish him?!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Knox drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Cruz Jr right on the button. Cruz Jr goes down! Knox follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Knox gets the win via TKO!
