The crowd seem to be enjoying Penn's choice of entrance music: The End. Colin Penn will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ax gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Penn counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Demolition Ax has been cut.
No luck for Ax with that takedown attempt.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Demolition Ax. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice takedown defense from Penn. No joy for Ax on that attempt.

Ax goes for a double leg but Penn avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Penn continues to drive forward.

and Penn counters with a crisp one two that drops Ax! Penn thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Ax to his feet! Ax is in big trouble!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Penn sends Ax crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Penn is motioning to the referee to let Ax up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Ax is rocked!
Penn is stalking Ax. Ax circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Penn, and it's lights out! Ax really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
