Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Doyle (ranked 2782 p4p, 2412 weight class) and Philip Ziskie (ranked 278 p4p, 245 weight class). Doyle comes into the arena with The Clash - Jimmy Jazz blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 39 - 25 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jimmy Doyle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 23 - 18 - 1, fighting out of New York, Philip Ziskie! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doyle tries to clinch up enabling Ziskie to counter with a crisp jab. Doyle thows a leg kick but Ziskie checks it and Ziskie counters with a nice uppercut. Ziskie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Doyle looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Ziskie swings around for an armbar but Doyle sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Ziskie's guard. Doyle has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ziskie is controlling Doyle's posture. Ziskie has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Doyle has passed into side control.
Ziskie tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Doyle wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ziskie manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's one minute gone in the round. Doyle is defending against the submission attempts here by Ziskie.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Doyle is looking to improve his position.
Ziskie landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Ziskie tries to pass to full mount but Doyle defends it. Ziskie trying to advance position but Doyle counters by regaining guard. Ziskie's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ziskie chips away with some ground and pound. Ziskie works a leg free and moves into half guard. Ziskie passes the guard and advances to mount! Doyle is trying to escape the mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Doyle is trying to escape the mount.
Ziskie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ziskie with the ground and pound from mount. Ziskie looking to finish with strikes here!
Ziskie prevents Doyle from getting the reversal. Ziskie goes for an armbar but Doyle turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Doyle. Doyle trying to control the position from guard on top but Ziskie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ziskie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Doyle's guard. Ziskie slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Doyle keeping full guard, as Ziskie tries to pass. Ziskie trying to control the position from guard on top but Doyle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ziskie passes Doyle's right leg, so he's now in half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Philip Ziskie dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Ziskie slips under a jab from Doyle. Doyle works over Ziskie's head and body with a nice combination. Ziskie closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Jimmy Doyle has been cut. Ziskie scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Doyle waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ziskie. Doyle uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ziskie. Ziskie with a body punch. A glancing blow. Doyle throws a nice outside leg kick. Ziskie lands a really nice looking cross but Doyle seems unphased.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Doyle throws a leg kick and Ziskie counters with a straight right hand.
Doyle is rocked! Ziskie throws a pinpoint strike between Doyle's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Doyle crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Ziskie scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Philip Ziskie! In his post fight interview, Philip Ziskie started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
