Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kane Yamamoto (ranked 3824 p4p, 3637 weight class) and Izuku Midoriya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Izuku Midoriya told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kane Yamamoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Izuku Midoriya! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Danga de danga de dang - Midoriya scores with a four punch combination! Midoriya throws a nice inside leg kick. Yamamoto shoots in and drives through. Midoriya sprawls well. Yamamoto shoots in but Midoriya avoids the takedown attempt easily. Midoriya misses with a two punch combination.
Yamamoto shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Midoriya as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kane Yamamoto. That's going to take a lot out of him. Midoriya closes the distance and lands a one-two. Midoriya fakes the leg kick and cracks Yamamoto in the body. Midoriya misses with a two punch combination.
Yamamoto fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Midoriya avoids it really well and circles away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Midoriya turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Midoriya lands with a thumping leg kick.
Yamamoto changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Midoriya tries to avoid it but Yamamoto manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Midoriya to the ground. Midoriya escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Midoriya will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Midoriya scores with a head kick. Yamamoto tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Midoriya gets caught flat footed, as Yamamoto shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Midoriya wants to get back to his feet but Yamamoto is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Midoriya really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yamamoto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Midoriya keeping moving, preventing Yamamoto from controlling successfully. Yamamoto slips nicely into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamamoto looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Yamamoto passes the guard and advances to mount! Yamamoto wants to take Midoriya's back but he can't do it this time. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Midoriya is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Yamamoto working for a submission but Midoriya is keeping him at bay. Yamamoto looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Midoriya wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamamoto has hold of Midoriya's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Midoriya manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Yamamoto is breathing heavily. Midoriya trying desperately to get to his feet.
Yamamoto looking to secure an arm triangle but Midoriya defends it well. Midoriya squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Yamamoto takes Midoriya's back. Yamamoto working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Midoriya is doing well to defend. Yamamoto seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Midoriya is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kane Yamamoto!
