The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kummola fires out a quick counter leg kick but Smith just manages to avoid it.
Smith takes a jab right on the kisser.
It looks like Jayson Smith has been cut.
Kummola cracks Smith with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Kummola has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kummola lands a nice leg kick that just misses Smith's sensitive parts.
Smith will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kummola was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

We've been informed that Smith has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Smith throws a series of punches but Kummola avoids them all with ease.
Kummola looks for the body kick but Smith saw that one coming.
Kummola sets himself, and Smith steps forward looking for the clinch! Kummola avoids it this time.
Smith takes one on the chin but seems OK.
