Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Warren Wrestler (ranked 6302 p4p, 3094 weight class) and Dean Winchester (ranked 110 p4p, 30 weight class). Dean Winchester will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Warren Wrestler!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dean Winchester!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winchester leaves Wrestler with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Winchester drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Wrestler defends it well.
Winchester looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Winchester gets caught flat footed, as Wrestler shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Wrestler content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Wrestler advances to half guard.
Wrestler looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Wrestler is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Winchester has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wrestler looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Wrestler looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Winchester with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Wrestler is looking to take a break and control but Winchester is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Winchester wants to get back to full guard.
Wrestler takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Winchester has a closed guard, preventing Wrestler from standing up.
Wrestler slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Wrestler is stalling here. Winchester is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Wrestler seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Winchester has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wrestler lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Winchester has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Winchester and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Winchester goes for a takedown in the clinch but Wrestler prevents it.
A frustrated look appears on Wrestler's face as he tries to break the clinch.

My spies in SISU Fight gym inform me that Winchester has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Wrestler is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Winchester avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Wrestler looking to hit a scissor sweep but Winchester is one step ahead there.

Wrestler has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Winchester can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Wrestler throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Wrestler wants to stand up but Winchester is controlling him.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.
Wrestler has control of Winchester's left arm, preventing Winchester from doing any damage.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Wrestler throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Wrestler drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Wrestler tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Winchester is not content to let Wrestler control the position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Wrestler postures up and lands a big shot to Winchester's brow.
Wrestler wants to control from the top but Winchester keeps moving.
Wrestler looking to pass the guard.
Wrestler lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Wrestler is looking to stand up but Winchester won't let him.

Wrestler stands and steps away. Winchester gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Wrestler gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Wrestler has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Winchester is trying to keep an underhook but Wrestler manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Wrestler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Winchester keeps working.
Wrestler is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Winchester is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Wrestler uses his free foot to push down on Winchester's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Winchester.

Winchester is rocked!
Wrestler tries to control but Winchester wriggling away.
Winchester is still in real trouble! Can Wrestler finish him?
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Warren Wrestler clearly takes that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.


Wrestler closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wrestler lands in his opponent's guard.
Wrestler passes Winchester's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Wrestler wants to get back to his feet.
Wrestler is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Winchester can do to turn this around?
Wrestler scores with a big shot! Winchester's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Winchester! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
