Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Baki Hanma (ranked 4485 p4p, 24632 weight class) and Mike Mizanin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Baki Hanma has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Baki Hanma seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Baki Hanma!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Mizanin!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Steve Montenegro and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mizanin tries to score with a low kick but Hanma moves his leg out of the way.
Hanma has his takedown stuffed
and Mizanin holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Mizanin - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Hanma really is a fat lump.
Hanma is fighting off a takedown attempt but Mizanin is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hanma to the mat. Hanma regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Hanma throws his legs up looking for a submission but Mizanin uses it to pass to side control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A lull in the action here as Mizanin stalls from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mizanin has control of an arm but Hanma manages to advance to Mizanin's back!

Hanma is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Mizanin knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Mizanin for a finish.
Hanma is trying to stick to Mizanin's back but Mizanin is turning into Hanma. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Hanma's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Mizanin.
Mizanin scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mizanin controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Let's hope that Mizanin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Hanma working a defensive guard but Mizanin manages to pass into side control anyway.
Hanma is breathing heavily.
Mizanin is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hanma is trying to escape and Mizanin transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hanma is forced to tap! Nice work there by Mizanin! Very nice indeed!

In his post fight interview, Mike Mizanin started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
