Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hua Wie (ranked 4467 p4p, 4071 weight class) and Hilo Beach Bum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hua Wie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hilo Beach Bum! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beach Bum stuffs the takedown attempt from Wie. Wie gets slowly back to his feet. Wie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Beach Bum pinned against the cage. Beach Bum gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wie shoots for a takedown but Beach Bum saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hua Wie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Beach Bum wants to control but Wie postures up. Wie controlling from side mount. Wie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Beach Bum knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wie trying to control the action but Beach Bum is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beach Bum is holding Wie down, trying to stall. Wie is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Beach Bum is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wie working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Beach Bum tries to improve position but can't. Wie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Beach Bum knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Wie takes a little break here. Beach Bum wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wie trying to control the position but Beach Bum is working away. Wie tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Wie working away. Beach Bum really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Wie trying to control the action but Beach Bum is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wie happy to just control the position for now. Wie looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wie has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Beach Bum is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Wie yanks on the arm and Beach Bum is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Wie.
