Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dude Dudeson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sora Izanagi!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Izanagi will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Dudeson attempts a counter takedown but Izanagi avoids it well and moves away.
Dudeson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
A chopping leg kick lands by Dudeson.
A low kick lands for Izanagi.
Dudeson darts in and clinches Izanagi up against the cage.
Dudeson has hold of one of Izanagi's legs. Izanagi is fighting the takedown attempt but Dudeson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Izanagi working for a triangle but Dudeson defends it easily.
Dudeson wants to control from the top but Izanagi keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dudeson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Dudeson throwing strikes but missing.
Dudeson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Izanagi keeping moving, preventing Dudeson from controlling successfully.
Dudeson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dudeson stays in close to Izanagi's body and controls the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dudeson lands a leg kick that knocks Izanagi off balance momentarily.
Dudeson misses with a right hand
and Izanagi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dudeson moves to clinch but Izanagi breaks away
and Izanagi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dudeson with the inside leg kick.
Dudeson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Izanagi. Izanagi obviously looking to wear him down.
Dudeson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Dudeson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Izanagi cracks Dudeson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Dudeson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Izanagi.
Izanagi is looking to slow Dudeson down with leg kicks.
Dudeson throws a sloppy head kick
and Izanagi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Izanagi throws a quick inside leg kick.
Izanagi throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Dudeson's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Izanagi dives in looking to finish as Dudeson flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Izanagi's strikes! Izanagi is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Dudeson's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Dudeson was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sora Izanagi!
